About TidyUp!
TidyUp follows a five by five structure that keeps choices clear. There are five common rooms and five repeatable tasks in each room. That gives enough variety to stay fresh without causing decision fatigue. The steps are small on purpose: clear a surface, wipe a sink, sweep an entry, or reset a desk. Each action is designed to create a visible before and after so your effort feels worth it.
Behind the scenes I keep the flow consistent so you do not stall. The main options are complete task, upgrade, save, and exit. Upgrades are simple improvements like a better tool or a checklist that makes the next pass faster. The save step writes down your points and state so you can stop at any moment and return without losing track. Over time these small cycles add up to a calmer, easier home.
The Game Loop
TidyUp! turns everyday chores into quick missions. Pick a room, choose one task, finish it, and earn +10 points. At 50 points, you buy an upgrade and optionally unlock the next room. The loop is intentionally small—do one thing, bank the win, and decide your next move without overwhelm.
The main menu mirrors that flow: Complete Task, Upgrade, Save, and Exit. Each choice is obvious so you never stall deciding what to do. You can repeat tasks, switch rooms, or stack a few quick wins when you've got momentum.
The 5x5 Structure
TidyUp! uses a simple, repeatable framework: five rooms and five common tasks. That's 25 quick wins you can cycle through during the week. It's enough variety to stay fresh, but not so much that you get stuck picking.
- Living Room: Vacuum the carpet, dust the shelves, organize books, wipe windows, tidy cushions.
- Kitchen: Wash dishes, clean refrigerator, wipe counters, mop floor, organize pantry.
- Bathroom: Scrub toilet, clean mirror, wipe sink, restock toilet paper, mop tiles.
- Bedroom: Make the bed, organize closet, dust nightstand, vacuum floor, change sheets.
- Garage: Sweep floor, organize tools, take out trash, wipe surfaces, sort recycling.
Upgrades & Progress
Every 50 points, you purchase one upgrade—better tools, a timer style that fits you, or a checklist that reduces decision fatigue. Upgrades don't overcomplicate things; they simply make the next tasks faster or easier.
A lightweight save system stores your total points and state so you can stop anytime and resume later. Consistent small resets beat marathon cleanups.
